Hi Taxacomers, This weekend, a fellow Edmontonian who works in an injured raptor centre came to me with a small bottle containing one larger hippoboscid ca 5-6 mm long), and about 6 or 7 smaller hippoboscids (ca 2-5 mm long). The flies came from a great horned owl. Anyone know of anyone who might be interested in peeking at them? Robin Leech (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)
