In response to my query regarding fire adapted plants two weeks ago, I
received responses from eight individuals in Germany, Australia, Canada,
and United States, and these provided extensive references, information,
and personal observations that will aid my investigations on selected
moths that appear to have adaptations for surviving fire.  Its evident that
zoologists have given much less consideration to fire adaptations than have
the botanists.  Thanks to all who responded.
