Dear all (sorry for the crossposting to those that object),
I have a Ph.D. student who is well into a revision of the
Old-World nocturnal genus _Tricholabiodes_ (=_Tricholabioides_)
(Hymenoptera, Mutillidae). He is particularly concerned with the
southern African species, but needs as much additional material
from elsewhere (arid areas of Africa and the Palaearctic) as
possible for comparative purposes. We have borrowed specimens
from various museums already, but this is a request for any
additional specimens which may be present in collections that we
may not know about. The males are generally pale brownish with
large ocelli and the females are also dull pale yellowish to
brownish, both sexes sometimes with darker abdomens. We
anticipate that the project should be completed by the end of
1996.
Thanks for your consideration.
