As far as I see, lichenologists do not yet have an appropriate special forum on Internet. Various of
our collegues are actually involved in an initiative to code
lichen data into the DELTA format for a later distribution as interactive keys in a system called LIAS
(LIAS = Information and data storage system for **LI**chenized and lichenicolous
**AS**comycetes). For the coordination of this initiative, a mailing list is highly desirable.

The subjects treated in such a list often might be very special and therefore not suitable for TAXACOM or
for DELTA-l. Our computing center is not (yet) able to install a "LIAS-l" mailing list.
Therefore I would like to ask whether there is someone who could install it for us on his server
or help us to make it ourselves.
