 John,

 Yes, you are welcome to join the trip to Brugge. Only problem is we travel by
 bus and this leaves at 08.00 in the morning. You would have to catch a train
 at about 7.00 in the morning from Amsterdam Central Station. If this is OK
 then you're in. I could pick you up at the station and if they know we're
 coming they will wait or come to the station for us.
 I will arrange for you to visit the smallest possible home, but I haven't
 done so yet.
 Should you run into a nice, reasonably priced butterfly or orchid book on
 American species (NOT the Peterson guides, I already have a copy) I'd be very
 interested. Of course I'll be glad to pay for them.
