Though I am not a religious expert, Genesis
is a sacred text common to Judaism and Islam as well as Christianity!
Granted, there are other traditions in the world....but those three
encompass a remarkable chunk of Earth's population.  If I'm not mistaken,
Genesis also bears a distinct resemblance to certain Babylonian texts,
and ther are similarities with many other "origins" stories the world around.
