My experience with computers in Brazil since 1983, shows the same. In the
beginning there were Apple's with a "huge" RAM memory of 128Kb, which were
able to run BASIC softwares created by yourself or loaded from cassete tapes!
Nowdays we only see PC's specially on my area (microrganisms collections)
which don't requires heavy databases with high resolution pictures. For us in
Braziol the reason is obvoius: Mac's are too expensive and Pc's are sold at
any place for good prices.
