Storage of Herbarium specimens - what's best?

Whatever you choose to use, be sure you have doors or some other way to
seal specimens off from one another. The six month fumigation schedual
may not be often enough if you get an infestation of the "museum
beetles." They could rip through your collection and decimate (say the
Comps with lots of achenes to eat) in less than three.

If you consider the collections at GH, which have lasted in good
condition for almost 200 years, perhaps there system might be optimal,
weight and all.

Best of luck with whatever you choose.

Sincerely,

Jacqueline Soule
