        ESF Systematic Biology Network will organise a Workshop
                 DISSEMINATING BIODIVERSITY INFORMATION
                    (Amsterdam, March 24-27, 1996)

Key theme of this workshop will be the organisation and subsequent
dissemination world-wide of information on the Earth's biological
diversity.

The workshop will cover various topics:

General
        Specimen based collection databases
        Species based taxonomic databases
        Other databases and methods
Specific
        Accessibility and the user needs
        The input of data and data management
        Technical developments and standardisation
        Legal and ethical aspects
