Specific positions:
Flora of Pennsylvania Internship
This internship is a joint position with the Academy of Natural
Sciences of Philadelphia. It offers an opportunity to contribute to the
preparation of a modern state flora database and gain experience working
in a major herbarium. Requirements: undergraduate degree in biology with
course work in botany.
IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Internship
This intern assists the Arboretum's plant pathologist in
implementing an IPM program. Duties include regular monitoring of the
living collection, diagnosing pest and disease problems, research on
control strategies. The intern also participates in daily operation of a
Plant Clinic. Requirements: undergraduate degree in biology or
horticulture with course work in entomology and/or plant pathology.
