One of the best sources for the common and scientific names of useful
plants in Colombia is:
  Perez-Arbelaez, E.  1978.  Plantas Utiles de Colombia.  Bogota':
    Litografi'a Arco.

On page 457, "azucena" is identified as:
  _Lilium_candidum_ L.
They also cultivate "azucena china" which is:
  _Lilium_speciosum_ Thunb.
