Latin is a proper name of a language, just like German, Spanish, Italian.
Thus one write something like== He spoke fluent French -
but one would say, == His idiomatic usage was italianized, or germanic, or
whatever. As to use of s or z in the ending syllable, both forms are correct
one more britannic than the americanised version. It is in my opinion a
matter of style (pompouness, perhaps?) to write e.g.-- Dr. Wolfe Latinized
the name to describe, etc--.
