MOLECULAR SYSTEMATIST
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County solicits applications
for an Assistant Curator to head its Molecular Systematics Laboratory.
We seek an individual who will develop a vigorous research program in
systematics and evolutionary biology using molecular techniques, and who
will interact successfully on collaborative projects with other Museum
curators. This is a full-time, curatorial staff position, which will become
available 1 July 1996, subject to availability of funding. Requirements:
PhD with a zoological background and a strong research orientation.
Postdoctoral experience is desirable. The Museum is a comprehensive
natural history institution with 35 million specimens and worldwide
research initiatives; the Molecular Systematics Laboratory is a modern
and well-equipped facility. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae,
statement of research interests, and names of three references by 15
