Establishing Barcoding in Museums

   I'm interested in recieving advice on bar coding systems to be used in
museums. We are establishing a large collection of specimens, mostly stored in
vials, and want to use the bar coding system for thier filing,etc.. If anyone
has sugestions on which brands works well (or to avoid) it would be
appreciated. Information on thier general maintanence and draw backs you be
helpful also.
