Even worse:
Though I can't say if this is happened yet or not, there are surnames "Ii"
here in Hawaii and Japan, so if a species was named after a male member
of that family and the name Latinized (hey, is it lower case "l" here or
capitalized "L" for Latinized?--I've seen both in messages from people on
this list) . . anyway, then the patronymic result would be "iiii" (which
might be confusing when juxtaposed with Roman numeraled pagination!).
