                     Vertebrate Population Biologist
                   University of California at Berkeley

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in animal population
biology at the Assistant Professor - Assistant Curator level in the
Department of Integrative Biology and the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology.
Preference will be given for a person with interests in mammals and/or
birds, with a focus on genetical and evolutionary approaches to
populations, life history evolution, behavior, or physiological ecology.
The appointee will be expected to develop a strong research program, to
teach in appropriate course, and to undertake curatorial duties.  This
position involves 50% service in the Museum and offers an 11 month
appointment.  In addition to its important collections the Museum operates
a field station and shared laboratory facilities.  Curatorial duties will
be commensurate with the experience and interests of the candidate and
relate to the collection or other museum activities.
