apologies re =20

Sorry about the funny looking submission. Sometimes when I mail files
that have been transferred files by modem, as I did with the Medawar
quotes, the mailer decides the need to offer hexadecimal equivalents for
certain characters in the file (thus, =20 at the end of a line means that
the line ended with a space). This never shows up in my view of the mail
as I am preparing it, only after it is sent.

If anybody has any idea of what is going on (I use pine on a Sun server),
I'd appreciate hearing about it.
