A botanist colleague of mine, Brian Speer, has provided this one, which I am
passing on to the greater Internet community:

Seed cone generally torn apart by animals ....
Seed cone not torn apart by animals ....

I rarely use keys and so have no couplets of my own to submit. Now if the
prize was for Most Inane Character in a Cladistic Analysis, it would be
another story. Any nominees in this category?
