Subject: Re[2]: Deposit of type material
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Australian Government passed a law in 1984 that says
that holotypes must be deposited in Australia. The act
defines the kind of institution that can be a repository for
the holotype.
The act is regulated through export permits which are
required in order to take specimens out of Australia, and
it is a condition of the export permit that holotypes be
deposited in Australia.
