Further to my recent e-mail detailing the bibliographic citation of the
ICBN, I see that the various letters bearing diacritical signs that
survived our internal Cc:Mail system (e.g. u umlaut (u<"); and o umlaut
(o<") were transmitted over the Internet as "?").

Incidentally, the text reference is generally  "Greuter et al. 1994", or,
occasionally (particularly in Taxon), as "Greuter, McNeill et al.", i.e.
using the names of the Chairman and Secretary of the Editorial Committee.
