Dear Taxacomers:

        Do you know of any examples of new taxa and taxonomic revisions being
published electronically (I mean only electronically or long before they are
published in a journal)?

        Has any of the rapidly burgeonning taxonomic databses tried to publish
taxonomic novelties that have not been published in a journal?

        That is NOT to say that I recommend it. I just need to know of any
precedents. All hints (as well as opinions) will be appreciated.
