I would appreciate very much any information about where to
obtain the "North America" map of the Goode Base Map Series of the
Department of Geography, University of Chicago (of course an address,
price, etc., would be great. I am in the desperate stage of writing a
dissertation). I have been a little disappointed with maps available in
our libraries (i.e., line maps suitable for species distributions of a
taxonomic paper), map stores in town don't have either the appropriate
kind. I am in the process of printing some maps with ArcView (a Windows
mapping program), however it seems they come out a little small. I do
have some nice maps of South America (Smithsonian Institution 1983)
showing mountain ranges, however any information about sources of maps
for taxonomic distributions would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks in
advance.
