Advice on Rhodothamnus sites

I'll be driving through southern Germany and Austria this summer, and am
wondering if botanists from these areas (or elsewhere) might be able to
advise me on locating natural populations of the ericaceous species
Rhodothamnus chamaecistus? I am presently working on an apparently closely
related genus endemic to the western U.S. (Oregon), i.e., Kalmiopsis, and am
anxious to see living Rhodothamnus (preferably in the wild, but in botanic
gardens if nowhere else). I'd be very appreciative of any information on
specific localities, optimal time to observe flowering, etc. Please
contact me directly -- and thanks very much(!):
