SMASCH and other specimen databases

Hi. I'm trying to find out specifics about database structures (fields
used, their dimensions, etc.) for specimen-level insect inventory presently
in use by projects like SMASCH at Berkeley, INBio, Tropicos, etc.  Are any
of these structures published, such as in a back issue of the ICN
newsletter?
If you can direct me to people directly involved, that would also be
appreciated.
