Hi. In the latest Ent. News, Day et al. reported on the introduction and
spread of this introduced ladybug (P. 14-punctata) in the eastern US. I
have evidence I intend to submit for publication that there was a second
established population in New York (Long Island), and was wondering if
anyone else out there in e-mail range was aware of any other pre-1991
specimens from the area? Also, Gordon 1985 lists the genus as "Propylaea",
while other papers list it as "Propylea" - not having a copy of Linnaeus
handy, I was wondering which is correct?
Thanks for any help,
