gap coding

Greetings netters

Does anyone know of a software package that performs gap coding on data sets?
I have several datasets comprised of continuous variables (ranging from 0 to 10
0%) and I am looking for a way to determine natural gaps in the characters.  Of
 course I can do it manually but I am looking for a less subjective method.

Any info would be appreciated.
