Ammophila breviligulata Locality

Hello!

I am a graduate student at the University of Vermont, planning field work
to collect beach grass (Ammophila breviligulata) from the Atlantic Coast and
along the shores of the Great Lakes this summer.  I would like to sample
Ammophila breviligulata from its entire range for a study of the plant's
population genetics.

I am requesting specific information on the location of _natural_
populations of Ammophila breviligulata along the Atlantic Coast from
Newfoundland to North Carolina, and on both the US and Canadian shores of the
Great Lakes.  Information from published or unpublished sources would be
useful.  (Heck, even anecdotal information would be helpful.)

It is important that I sample natural populations, given that
both Ammophila breviligulata and Ammophila arenaria are planted in New
England (and other parts of the Atlantic Coast) to control dune movement
and coastal erosion.  So, does anyone know who I might speak with about such
plating programs?  This is of obvious importance to the correct
interpretation of population genetic data.
