                      GenBank  Fellowship Positions


The National Center for Biotechnology Information has three positions
available for post- doctoral scientists for training and research in
biological sequence database development, maintenance and analysis and in
the relationship of sequences to molecular and biological structure and
function. Candidates should have biological interests in areas represented
in the current sequence and structure databases and successful candidates
will receive training in a wide variety of computational techniques
including database management systems, and information and sequence analysis
tools. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, or equivalent, in
biology, molecular biology, genetics, molecular systematics, biochemistry or
biophysics. Applicants need not necessarily be U.S. citizens. Stipends start
at or above $25,000 per year depending on experience. Applications will be
accepted until April 30, 1994.  Candidates should send a curriculum vitae
