COLLECTIONS MANAGER
The Paleontological Research Institution seeks qualified
applicants for a full-time position of Collections Manager, with
employment to start between January 1 and February 1, 1995.
Position is guaranteed for 2 years, with renewal dependent upon
availability of funds. PRI holds collections of more than 1.5
million specimens of fossil invertebrates, vertebrates, and
plants and Recent mollusks, including more than 33,000 type and
figured specimens. These collections are currently undergoing
complete reorganization with NSF support. Responsibilities will
include supervising reorganization and subsequent curation
activity, managing accessions, and loan administration. Research
activity will be encouraged. The successful applicant will have
excellent computer skills, significant systematic knowledge of
one or more invertebrate groups, and significant curatorial/
collections management experience in a major museum collection,
preferably of fossil or Recent invertebrates. Salary
