who is a good contact for biological survey

Who would be a good initial contact as someone knowledgeable about any
database/information system development activities associated with the
National Biological Survey?  I am looking for a possible speaker, system
demo preferred, for the fall meeting of the American Society for Information
Science, as part of a session on information systems dealing with ecological
information that can have strong economic implications (re the expressed
concerns that landowners have vis a vis future development of surveyed
land, etc.)  Please respond to me personally.  Thanks for any help.
