Does anyone have any experience, and or, views of using portable computers
in the field.
We are looking into buying a portable for use in logging specimen data in
Northern Morocco, and also transporting data between sites in England,
Spain and Morocco.
As a second question, which portable GPS systems are people using? Again
we are looking into buying a system for use in specimen logging in
Northern Morocco.
Any views, suggested machines etc would be happily received.
Stephen.

Subject: Gourd Search
The USDA (APHIS) is considering a petition to release a biotech squash
that carries resistance to viral disease. There is some concern about
possible hybridization with wild-growing relatives that are known to occur
in the U.S. I am developing a report that documents the U.S. distribution
of wild gourds and would like to send out an electronic request for inform-
ation. Is your node the best option? If so, how do I go about doing it?
Also, I understand that internet links to ag experiment stations. Any idea
as to how I might be able to use this for a similar request? Thanks.
