  The CISMA (Centro de Informacoes  e Servicos  do Programa  Mata
  Atlantica )   was  created    with  the objective to supply the
  necessity  of information, data organization  and data analysis
  of the Atlantic Rainforest Program Research.

  The   Atlantic   Rainforest  Program  (PMA),  which  sarted  in
  1989, is  an  institutional  project  of Rio de Janeiro Botanic
  Gardens  -  which  hosted,  recently,  the  Third International
  Botanic Gardens Conservation Congress.

  We are working with IBM-PC compatible and  implementing a Local
  Area Network. Our main task is to manage  relational  databases
  about Taxon, specimen data, and envorimmental data of the study
  areas of Atlantic Rainforest Program.
