As he departs, a new structure has been created to alleviate some past publishing issues.</li><li>The new Editorial staff includes Scott Palmieri as Editor and Laura Higgs Kappel as Associate Editor. Laura is a Research Associate at ETSU, which keeps our connection with the University. She is also the daughter of Jack Higgs, one of SLA's most beloved members.</li><li>Shelly Sanders is also leaving her post as Fiction Editor. She recommended Adrian Markle as her replacement, and he has accepted.</li><li>Authors will now receive proofs of their work before the final printing.</li><li>There was discussion about the selection of editors rather than using the recommendation of the previous editor. It was suggested that the Association might place future candidates on a list to be selected by vote.</li><li>Email contact for the new Editors is in the cc at the top of this email.</li><li>Mark and others suggested increasing the number of Editorial Board members.
