and responsible for translating and presenting many works from those regions. For the past few years, he diligently indexed the journal, putting decades of work into a searchable database. In addition, he was a benefactor for the Association, making it possible
for a variety of young graduate student scholars to attend the conference. His generosity, kindness, and subtle humor knew no bounds.</font>
