FriendsPlease read this carefully. As I have tried to emphasize, the Bangor/Orono region has become a far more important tourist destination than it was when SLA was last at UMaine. That is why many area lodging options are volatile. The new on campus Hotel Ursa reserved a block of 15 rooms at a special rate good through May 24. I am sure we can get more rooms at that price. However, if you wish to pay the full amount in advance now you may be able to secure an even lower rate. 
To highlight the area lodging volatility, room rates in Bangor have tripled when there are major concerts on the waterfront or large scale conventions are held at the Cross Insurance Center. That is why I focused on Orono facilities. They are far less likely to have such price swings.
The process for paying for dorm rooms is different. UMaine will bill SLA for the dorm rooms. Thus, if you choose that option you need to contact Joyce and will need to pay her--she'll explain the process. International monies should be paid by wire transfer. Bruce Bruce
