Hi Noah - would you mind sharing this with the Sports Caucus? Thank you in advance!

American Studies at Notre Dame is searching for a Visiting Assistant Professor for 2023-25 and I am hoping you might help us get the word out. The gig is non-tenure-track but it does come with a 2-2 teaching load and a salary on par with a new assistant professor. We can also offer some modest travel funds and a moving stipend. We are open to subfield and are looking for a dynamic teacher and promising scholar. The minor in Sport, Media, and Culture<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsmacminor.nd.edu%2F&data=05%7C01%7Csport_literature_association%40lists.ku.edu%7C9338ab6d9230428401e908db0478c10c%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C638108688912831461%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=wVmayZB5ULFrZBe54TjsuJ7VcymZ70Gzk%2BEpLbJmm2c%3D&reserved=0> is housed in the American Studies department and I would love for some sport-y graduate students or early career scholars to apply for this VAP if they are interested. We will post the ad in the coming week but I wanted to get a head start by letting you know. The job ad is linked here<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fapply.interfolio.com%2F120506&data=05%7C01%7Csport_literature_association%40lists.ku.edu%7C9338ab6d9230428401e908db0478c10c%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C638108688912987700%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=ILmgOdq7yPbVeSNEpw%2FJbB%2FNE0Qccm4ZTeJipwKXMbo%3D&reserved=0>. I've also pasted the text below.
The Department of American Studies at the University of Notre Dame seeks candidates for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor for academic years 2023-24 and 24-25. The Department is a highly interdisciplinary intellectual community, with a large undergraduate program marked by students committed to critical thinking, intersectional inquiry, and social justice. Teaching load is two classes per semester. PhD in American Studies is preferred but not required.
