Morning,If there are any book reviewers out there, my new dystopian science fiction baseball novel A Fastball for Freedom was recently published by BHC Press. It's Book Two in my trilogy set on the eve of the 22nd Century after America has lost World War Three and is now governed by The Family as the discredited game of baseball begins its final season ever in the last ballpark, Amazon Stadium. This follows Book One, A Mound Over Hell.
Here's a link. Please let me know if anyone's interested.

Thank you, everyone!

Written by Kim Stanley Robinson, it first appeared in Asimov's Science Fiction in 1999; however I ran across it in one of his Mars Trilogy collections. Subject: Text Suggestions? Hello, All— I wanted to try a bit of crowdsourcing as I’m designing a new gen. ed. level class in Sport & Literature. Though I’ve been delighted to participate in a SLA conference and have subscribed to Aethlon for 4-5 years, this is my first time teaching a class devoted to our topic. I’ve been looking into past issues ofAethlon for a few extra titles (novels, short stories, or poems) worth considering. If you have experience teaching classes on Sport & Lit (or just an idea for a text or two), I’d be delighted to hear any suggestions. Any suggestions are truly welcome, and I’d be particularly interested in suggestions of texts involving women’s sports. Please respond ‘off list’ (i.e. directly to me atmrsmalley3 at fhsu.edu). Thanks in advance! Onward, MS Matthew R. Smalley, Ph.D.
