Hello, Sport Literature Colleagues.

This morning I examined a dissertation at University of Exeter -- "Hanging Them Up: Depictions of Retirement in Contemporary American Boxing Novels," as well as a novel featuring mixed martial arts. It was a very solid dissertation and an excellent novel, topped off with an impressive oral defense.
