<div>Thanks so much, Sue! The more people we can reach with ideas like these, the more likely that we can turn the tide for special education and SIM programs. Thanks for all you are doing with administrators and teachers! Jean</div>

<div class="">Hi Jean,</div>
I have already shared this article with two districts. Here is the response from a special ed director in Ohio. We are struggling with restructuring special ed services and hitting roadblocks outlined in your article!
<div class="">Thank you for this great article that highlights so many issues. Jenn actually has a son who is identified as LD in the middle school. I think that accounts for some of her emotions.</div>

<div class="">
<div dir="ltr" class="">OMG!!! This article is FANTASTIC! I actually sat here and cried and cried reading it....😢😢, especially Myths #8 and #9.
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class=""> It is so nice to hear from someone who feels the same way that I do about "Special" education! I agree that all of these Myths are indeed killing "Special" education!! I especially love the analogies about all doctors knowing how to do all
treatments in all settings and pilots knowing how to fly every possible type of plane--preposterous! . Rejecting those ideas are such simple, yet such logical ideas that makes it difficult for me to understand why so many buy into the "inclusive" setting
and think that it makes any kind of sense to have non-certified people (paras) and general education teachers with limited "specialization" be in charge of educating our kiddos ! It's sooooo frustrating to me. Special educators understand it and I believe
even more general education teachers get it. Unfortunately, it's the pressure and belief that "inclusion" is the best for everyone that wins over logical and rational thinking! Ugh!</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Anyway, I could go on forever! </div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Thank you Sue for sharing this article and helping us see the importance of the KU Learning Strategies!! We just need to have a structure in place to actually implement them! This is what I am worried we won't be able to obtain! Kori and I
need your continued help in fighting this fight! Perhaps sending this article to both Andy and Tera would be a start.......</div>
