Hi all: Earlier today I sent out an email with a link in it to the new website that goes with my new book (Persuasive & Argumentative Writing). I have received some messages that the link does not work. This had me puzzled because it was working for me until Daran told me that some of the link is blue and other parts are not.<br>

Hi All, and Happy New Year!! As some of you know, I published a new instructor's manual this past summer called "Proficiency in the Theme Writing Strategy: Persuasive and Argumentative Writing." I was able to finalize and post the little website that accompanies that new program in November 2016. It contains lots of example themes and diagrams, handouts, cue cards, and other materials teachers can use to teach persuasive and argumentative writing skills in conjunction with the instructions in the manual. People can download the materials by going to<br>

Please make note of this address. Please caution teachers that they must type this address into their browser exactly in order for it to work. Also please caution them to use "http<applewebdata://56BF6A16-<wbr>3AA6-4313-9E50-1AB6CD8DBB6F/<wbr>http>://" at the beginning of the address. If they do not use it, they will not be able to access the website. The address is not correct in a couple of places in the book, I'm sorry to say. I will correct that in the next printing, but, in the meantime, we will need to be very specific with them about the website address.<br>

Also, please tell them that when they type the address into their browser and activate it, the zip file might be immediately downloaded onto their computer. When this happens, the program file can then be found in their "download" folder. The label on the program folder will be "Persuasive & Argumentative Materials." This folder can be saved on their desktops. The copyright notice in the file gives them permission to copy anything in the folders.<br>

Hi All! Yesterday, I sent out information on the website that goes with the new Persuasive and Argumentative Theme Writing book. Today, I'm receiving questions about how to order the book. Attached are two forms of the order form. One shows the discounted prices for SIM Professional Developers during conferences. You may use the discounted price to order one copy of this new book and other books for your personal use. The other order form is for schools/other customers. The new book appears on the forms as "Pers. & Argum. Theme Writing Strategy". The book that I finished in 2015 appears as "Informative Theme Writing Strategy." Both books have little websites that are associated with them. I'm excited to have these instructional programs finished! I'm looking forward to completing the series of advanced theme writing books with the Narrative Theme Writing book in 2017. That will complete the WHOLE Writing Strategies Curriculum! (I guess we'll have to have a celebration<br>
of sort<br>
