[Simtrainer-l] The role of AI in teaching writing

Hi all—I’m attaching an interesting conversation about the role of AI in writing instruction. It comes from an episode of Michael Horn’s podcast “The Future of Education.”) Should we teach students how to write if AI (e.g., ChatGPT) exists? What do you think?  What would you say to school administrators or state representatives who think that writing education is no longer needed now that AI writing programs exist to write your memos and papers?  I’d love to hear from you about your ideas.
