[Simtrainer-l] Level Novels

I also teach 7th graders. I think the content of the Bluford High books may
be too mature for this age group, but that depends on the life experiences
of your students. I've had success with Kwame Alexander's novels in verse,
The Crossover and Booked, for independent reading (as well as House Arrest,
another novel in verse by K.A. Holt).

For read aloud/novel study, I'd suggest Red Kayak by Priscilla Cummings or
anything Hatchet-related by Gary Paulsen.
