Hi all:  In response to my earlier email,  Bev Downey sent me the message below.  She has some excellent ideas!  Let's all share our ideas on this listserv about how we can generate new interest in SIM programs and create new ways to instruct teachers.   It's wonderful that although Bev is formally retiring, she is not retiring from helping students and teachers.  Let's all think outside the box and figure out how to reach out to new schools and organizations.  Jean

Jean,
I read your email to the Simtrainers. I am saddened by the news.  I would love to help with offering PD.  I am retiring from the AEA in June 2017.  I have observed how training/workshops have changed over the years.  I do know that many teachers continue to need re-certification classes and they  frequently choose online courses.  They also need research based strategies that are proven successful.

I have spent much time considering how I could use the current demand for re-certification classes and online course work and to provide KU-CRL PD.
I would like to offer strategies with a combination of face to face sessions, online work and then teacher videotaping their implementation of the strategy (possibly routines too.)

I plan to use Moodle through AEAPDonline that is in Iowa.  I would like to discuss this opportunity with you.
