Hi all,

I am reaching out to see if I can tap in to the tremendous knowledge, experience, and creativity of our amazing SIM Network for some ideas regarding a topic that I feel very strongly about. The topic is related to SwD and their transition to higher education from their high school experience.

I have an opportunity to provide input as my university plans making some improvements, and it hit me.... so many in our Network are in secondary schools and I would love to know what you think works to encourage students with disabilities to transition to a local college, and/or what you you like to see post-secondary institutions do better (or more of)?

Specifically, what kinds of outreach and recruitment of high school students with disabilities transitioning from high school to college would be/are effective? What types specific programs and services available to them on-and off-campus do you think are important?

Please feel free to email me directly (rather than reply all) to nsfritsch at hotmail.com . I would welcome any ideas to help me as try to inform my colleagues.

Thanks for your time and consideration!!!!
