<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">At this point, I already imagine that everyone has fabulous syllabi for their classes that are fully compliant with syllabus requirements, etc. The tricky part that might stump some of you is that KU is requiring
us to submit our syllabi to a very specific repository location—i.e. the “Simple Syllabus” site. Normally, the “Simple Syllabus” link would appear automatically in your Spring courses if you created a Canvas course. HOWEVER, if you, like me, copied your course
from a previous version of the course, “Simple Syllabus” will NOT automatically appear as a navigation tab on the left.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">If your Canvas page has a visible “Simple Syllabus” navigational tab on the left, all you have to do is click on it, and upload your doc/pdf version of your syllabus and then click “Publish” and you are done.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">If “Simple Syllabus” is NOT visible on your Canvas site, you can make it appear. What you need to do is go into “Settings”, and then click on the “Navigation” tab at the top, then scroll down till you find
“Simple Syllabus.” Click on the three dots and select “enable” and move the tab up to the visible tabs up at the top then click “Save”. “Simple Syllabus” should appear as one of the navigation tabs on the left. Click on it, upload your syllabus, and then click
‘Publish.” <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">If you don’t submit your syllabus to “Simple Syllabus”—regardless of how nicely it meets the requirements and is clearly available to your students—KU will be grumpy with you (and probably me).
