<p class="MsoNormal">The Dean’s office will be generating reports for their pitch to the Provost about the CLAS budget.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">In particular please update:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> --all publications<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> --all external funding<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> --all invited talks (really only those at other Universities, professional associations, keynotes, etc).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> --Editorships and Editorial Boards<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Anything else can wait until the winter break.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Dean is using this information to pitch for CLAS funding, but depending on the funding received, I believe this information will also guide hiring decisions for CLAS in 2020.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Most of the weight for the new budget model will be based on student credit hours generated and majors, but research activity is 20% of the formula so having updated information is important.<o:p></o:p></p>
