for the first five years and then the College will cover the post grant salaries. So this will not draw from our faculty to teach new courses.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#212121">Background: A KU team has been granted a 5 year award to establish this program as part of a Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Intelligence Community Centers for Academic Excellence (IC CAE)
grant. The goal is to set up a certificate, then a minor, and then a major after 5 years. For the first 5 years the grant will fund the instructors for the courses, as well as a partnership with two smaller schools in Kansas.</span><span style="color:#212121"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#212121"> </span><span style="color:#212121"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#212121">Eventually the program would have an internship pipeline towards permanent careers in the intelligence community. Several Universities around the country have done this.</span><span style="color:#212121"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
