Hi Nazli,

Sorry for the slow response. Would be nice to give a shout out to Timothy Cichanowicz who got married earlier this month, he also received a Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) grant for fieldwork at the University of Tokyo this summer!

We also have a paper forthcoming in Law and Geoeconomics:

Timothy Cichanowicz and Jiakun J. Zhang, "The Politics of Securitization: U.S. and Japanese Legislative Responses to De-Risking with China." Law and Geoeconomics (2025).

I also have a publication with former KU student, Jianbing Li, in JCC:

Jianbing Li, Duoji Jiang, and Weifeng Zhong, "China’s Domestic Politics and Editorial Control over Foreign News Coverage in the People’s Daily, 1993–2022." Journal of Contemporary China (2025).
