My name is Derek Zomer and I am the Advisor for TEDxKU. We are excited to be back as an organization on the KU campus. Right now, the student led executive team is preparing for a fantastic TEDx event in April of 2025. We have been meeting since September to brainstorm how to make all this possible. We would love if you could forward this email to your department or organization (faculty, staff, and students if possible) so that we get a plethora of speaker nominations. The idea is to spread this everywhere and to get the word out for those that have always had the dream to speak on a TEDx stage. Perhaps you're not interested in applying yourself, so feel free to nominate someone you think would love a chance at this opportunity. Once you nominate someone, we will reach out to them through email to let them know that they were nominated as well as send them the link to the website to apply. Both the self nomination and nominate someone options are on our website. Even though we are an organization on campus, we are looking for a mixture of speakers from campus, the city of Lawrence, the state of Kansas, and even beyond that.
