[Pols-l] Reminder:Dept graduation ceremony Friday

I will be running over to Owens later this afternoon to  pick up the flowers for tomorrow's(Friday) ceremony.  Faculty, please try to arrive to the Big 12 Room, directly across the hall from Woodruff Auditorium in the Kansas Union, 5th floor, at 6pm for group photo.  We have a new photographer this year.  We also will have elevated security for the events this year.  You will march in together along with the graduates at the beginning of the ceremony and you will sit up on the stage.  Our guest speaker this year will be Audrey Coleman, the Director of the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics.  When the music begins after the ceremony, please start coming down from the stage, to be followed by the graduates.      I am not sure what the main commencement will look like, at this point, but I am pretty sure our ceremony will be nice.    Those students also needing to attend the Honors ceremony can leave directly after, skipping the reception, and should be able to get over to that one after ours.
